Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2, episode 7, is on the way, releasing on September 26th, 2024. This will be the second-to-last installment to season 2 since episode 8 will serve as the finale. Of course, there is still a great deal to be wrapped up in these last episodes, where Sauron and Celebrimbor are expected to finish the Nine Rings for Men, and the battle of Eregion will go into full swing.

Previously in the already-released six episodes of Rings of Power, Sauron and Celebrimbor worked together to create the Seven Dwarven Rings and distribute them among Middle-earth's Dwarf clans—most notably Durin's folk of Khazad-dûm. As this went on, the Elves of Lindon scrambled to get a handle on things with the help of the Three Elven Rings forged in Rings of Power season 1. Now, going into the final two episodes, the politics of Númenor grow all the more intense while Adar's Orcs surround Eregion—so when can audiences officially tune in to see what happens next?

Episodes in Rings of Power season 2 have been consistently just over an hour long, with the longest episode being season 2, episode 1, "Elven Kings Under the Sky," at 1 hour and 16 minutes. The following episodes have been on the shorter end of the series' norm. However, this week's episode is expected to begin the Siege of Eregion, which has been teased to be a two-episode-long event. With so much action to pack into these final installments, it's possible that Prime Video will kick out some longer runtimes again.

Rings of Power Season 2 Episodes & Lengths

Episode #,  Title                                                                                             Episode Length

Episode 1, “Elven Kings Under the Sky”                                                       1 h 16 min
Episode 2, “Where the Stars are Strange"                                                       1 h 2 min
Episode 3, “The Eagle and the Sceptre"                                                          1 h 6 min
Episode 4, "Eldest"                                                                                          1 h 5 min
Episode 5, "Halls of Stone"                                                                             1 h 1 min
Episode 6, "Where Is He"                                                                                1 h 3 min
The final two episodes of Rings of Power season 1 were both 1 hour and 12 minutes long. If season 2 follows suit, then we may still have about two and a half hours left to enjoy before the Lord of the Rings series goes on hiatus for what will likely be another two years before season 3. This should include the action-packed battle of Eregion, which, in canon, involves Orcs, Elves, and Dwarves alike. Then, there is the teased confrontation between Sauron and Galadriel. While there's not much time left in Rings of Power season 2, there's still much to look forward to.
